Ruler Dipendra got his initial training at Budhanilkantha School, Kathmandu. Later, he went to Eton College in England. After Eton, he went to Tribhuvan University in Nepal and later joined the Military Academy, Kharipati, Nepal. He examined Geography at Tribhuvan University for his graduate degree and was a PhD understudy at the same college. He got military preparing from Academy of Royal Nepalese Gurkha Army, and steering preparing from common aeronautics Department.

Dipendra was occupied with the fields of social administration and had an unmistakable fascination in games. He used to go to different national and worldwide games functions where Nepalese players took an interest. Dipendra turned into a sharp karateka when he was examining in England and had gotten dark belt at around the age of 20. He was a supporter of the National Sports Council and Nepal’s Scouts.
