At least for once in a lifetime a person might have come across a jeans with small in it. As jeans are meant to be the representation that you’re following the trend. Apart from the regular/casual jeans there exists funky one too but irrespective of the model there exists the small pocket for a jeans.
Actually the term jeans is derived from the French word ‘Genes’ for the word Genoa. It is believed that Levi Strauss and Co invented jeans way back in 17th century. The company still produces jeans which are of good quality and lasts longer than any other brands.

It is also believed that Levi Strauss and Co also invented the small pocket which is the talking point here. In 1800s, they started to produces the jeans with small pockets inside a big pocket. But do you know why they have to look after this new invention ? what is this actually for ?

Cowboys in those days used portable watches which are almost the size of a coin and have a long chain for support. So, it is why the tiny pockets are invented for. With the small pockets, the carrying those small chained watches became easy and convenient. Initially they used to keep them in waistcoats which was not considered to be the best as the watches used to fall and broke into pieces.
So, Levi’s found a best way to keep the watches from falling easily. But, with the advancement in technology and passing of days, the usage of those chained watches became obsolete and the wrist watches came into existence due to which the pockets which were designed for specific purpose begin to be used for some other purposes.

People used the small pocket to keep coins, small music players, ipods, plectrums, floss, mini comb, USB drive etc., as the production of jeans with small pocket never stopped. Not only Levis but also several other brands still manages to produce the jeans with small pockets.
